To help you achieve your goals, expert teacher support is on hand. For our digital classroom students, you will receive your trainers email details, and a dedicated chat room to send quick messages. If you are choosing to study via our classroom based program, you will see your trainer regularly.
We encourage you to contact your trainer with any questions you have about your course and the office is available from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm throughout the year. We try to respond to all emails within 24 hours during the work week. If you feel like you need additional support, we also have a student success program where your student success coach is available on appointment for one-on-one or group tutoring sessions.
I’m a school leaver/I have no qualifications. Am I eligible to study with Equinox College?
Our courses are designed to suit everyone including school leavers and mature age students. Some of our courses do have formal pre-requisites which will be discussed upon enquiry. A base level of language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) is required. Students who have been identified as needing to refresh their LLN skills are encouraged to discuss the course’s suitability and support services available with Equinox College.
I’m over 45 and am thinking about switching careers. Can I enrol?
Of course! With the growing ageing population, we would say you are wise to want to get into the healthcare and community services industry! Where are you located?
Our head office is located at 14/110 Morayfield Road, Morayfield. This is our main training centre. We conduct the majority of our face to face training here, including training for Aged Care, Disability, Community Services and First Aid / CPR.
We are right next door to McDonald’s on the 1st Floor. You cant miss us.
There is free parking and plenty of amenities around.
When I finish my course, when do I get my certificate?
All Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) are required to issue learner credentials within 30days of the final determination of competency for their program of study.

What is the NDIS?
The NDIS or National Disability Insurance Scheme provides more than $22 billion in funding a year to an estimated 500,000 Australians who have permanent and significant disability.

There are currently many open vacancies for Support Workers to provide supports under the NDIS. Having the Certificate III in Individual Support is an important step in being able to safely and effective provide support to those under the NDIS.

We have very reasonable payment options for our learners. If you have any questions about these, please give us a call and speak with a Course Advisor.

Do I need to have access to a computer and internet?
It would be very beneficial to you if you had access to a device with internet capabilities. This is because the internet is a wealth of information that can really only enhance your learning. We also have class specific private Facebook Groups that learners find helpful to ask questions and access additional learning resources. But…
If you don’t that is ok, most of our courses are delivered using good old-fashioned hard copy handbooks and assessments. So you can choose one, the other or both ways to study.
