Those who are required to obtain or update their CPR certification.

This nationally recognised course describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

?Description
This course provides participants with the confidence and competence required to perform CPR on an unconscious casualty. The training course is taught according to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This course takes personnel through both the theory of why we do CPR and many practical exercises that emphasise the ‘how’ we perform CPR.

This training course involves online training and assessment and practical assessment.

The following items are covered during the training:

Assess the incident scene
Conduct D-R-S-A-B-C-D
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation techniques
Roll patient into recovery position
Handover to Medical personnel
Manage a choking patient

?Assessment
Assessment of this course is through online and practical assessment including the observation of students carrying out a range of scenarios. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.

Note– students must be able to perform 2 minutes of unassisted CPR on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor.

To reschedule your CPR course please provide your original booking information and the day you would like to change to.

For any cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to the course an administrative fee of $20.00 will apply. Unfortunately no refunds or changes to course bookings can be made within 24 hours of a course start time or if you do not attend the training.

Important

All enrolled learners will be required to complete the online theory component of the program at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start of the practical session, otherwise access to the online training will be revoked, and no refund is permitted. Reactivation of the online portal with payment for the full course.
