The role of a Personal Care Worker has many names, including Support Worker, Community Care Worker, and Assistant in Nursing. Their duties are similar no matter what they are called.

As a Personal Care Worker, you would be responsible for doing the following:

Encourage the person to become as independent as possible.
Respect and dignity are key to interpersonal relationships.
Assist family members with household chores
Assist people with their personal care, including: grooming and hygiene needs, meal preparation and assistance eating, as well as personal hygiene needs such as showering and bathing.
