Certificate IV in Mental Health

Course Overview
The CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health will teach you the skills and knowledge required to deal with a variety of clients experience mental health issues, in a range of situations.

LEARN @ HOME
Study from home, online self-paced, where you will have up to 12 months to complete
or
Study online, via out trainer-led program where you will study for 24 weeks, attending fortnightly online tutorials (Mondays 3pm-7pm)

Funding and Fees
This course is currently funded for eligible students. Students are required to pay a co-contribution fee.
Students eligible for subsidised training under government funding programs can normally only access the funding once, so it is important that you choose your course carefully.
Concession Holders – $30.00 ($1.30 per unit)
Non-Concession Holders – $60.00 ($2.66 per unit)

Fee for Service Fee – $2,500
**PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE FOR FEE FOR SERVICE STUDENTS**
$200 deposit must be paid upon enrolment, then weekly or fortnightly payments. (This amount is inclusive of the total fee)
All Fee for Service fees must be paid in full prior to Certificate being issued
All payment plans incur a small fee which will be outlined in the Payment Plan agreement with Pay Advantage https://www.payadvantage.com.au

Entry Requirements
Ideally, you would have obtained a Certificate III in a community services based qualification previously, (however, this is not mandatory)
On enrolment you will be required to provide/complete:
- Colour copy of your Driver’s Licence or other photo ID
- Unique Student Identification Number (USI) If you do not hold a USI Number or have forgotten your USI Number, please visit the link provided below: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-usi
- National Police Check Certificate (Required before Vocational Placement can commence). (We will process an application on your behalf – the cost for this is included in your course fees)
- Achieve a level of language, literacy and numeracy appropriate for a Certificate IV course via our Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills Indicator
Practical Placement
All students will be required to complete either a Practical Placement Log Book or if you are already working in the mental health field, a Workplace log book, demonstrating a minimum of 80 hours of direct support with people living with mental health issues.
We will source you a suitable workplace to undertake your practical placement. You will be required to interview with the host, and acceptance will be at their discretion.
It is a requirement to have a current NDIS Worker Screening, we will assist you to apply for this.
