Equinox College

Funding and Fees

Equinox College is a Queensland Skills Assure Supplier. Eligible students may access subsidised training under Career Start or Career Boost through the General Training Pathway. Eligibility is confirmed before enrolment, and each course page lists its fees.

Government-subsidised training in Queensland

Equinox College is a Skills Assure Supplier (SAS) approved by the Queensland Government Department of Trade, Employment and Training to deliver subsidised training under the Career Start and Career Boost programs.

If you are eligible, the Queensland Government subsidises the cost of your training, which means you pay a reduced student contribution instead of the full course fee.

Career Boost

Fees and funding explained

Several different amounts can apply to the same qualification. This is what each one means.

  • Government subsidy: the part of the training cost the Queensland Government pays to Equinox College for an eligible student under Career Start or Career Boost. It is only available after your eligibility has been checked and confirmed.
  • Student co-contribution: the amount an eligible, subsidised student pays. It can differ between qualifications because each has a different number of units.
  • Full fee (fee for service): the price you pay if you are not eligible for a subsidy, or choose not to use it.
  • Concessions: reduced co-contributions apply only where the Queensland program policy allows them. Our team will confirm whether you qualify.
  • RPL fees: Recognition of Prior Learning is charged separately. A government subsidy does not apply to a unit you have already been assessed as competent in. See Recognition of Prior Learning.
  • Other charges: any other costs are explained in our Fees and Refunds policy before you enrol.

Not every course is funded, and living in Queensland does not on its own make you eligible. First aid and CPR courses are not government funded.

Fees for each qualification: CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support, CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support, CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health, CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services, CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management, 11461NAT Diploma of Leadership in Disability Services.

Course fees and payment options

Each course page lists the fees for that course, including any subsidised student contribution and concession rates where they apply.

If you are not eligible for a government subsidy, we offer payment plans to suit most budgets. We also accept direct transfer, debit and credit card, and cash.

Our Fees and Refunds policy explains how fees, refunds and withdrawals work.

Check your eligibility

Tell us a little about yourself. Our team will check your details against the program rules and let you know which options may apply. This is a first step, not a funding decision.
